1. What are you reading right now?

The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey.

2. What was the hardest part about writing your memoir?

Once the book came out, I felt exposed and vulnerable. Everything became very real.

3. What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I love to be outside. Road trips, hiking, etc

4. If you could recommend any book to readers, what would it be?

There are so many. Where the Crawdads Sing, Running with Scissors, Cherry, Killers or the Flower Moon, How Starbucks Saved My Life.

5. What does your writing process look like?

I’m a morning person, so always in the morning. I write when I’m inspired and try not to force things.

6. Would you ever want to write something else?

Absolutely. I’m toying with a few ideas as we speak.

7. What may surprise readers to discover about you?

I’m on the board of a nonprofit called Represent Justice. The heart of the organization is the power of stories about the justice system to transform culture and narrative.
